About Us
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
-Colossians 3:17- NIV
The "Heavenly" Way
Everything we make, we make it the Heavenly way. What does that mean? It means we do our best to do it God’s way. The bible speaks a lot on godly ways as opposed to worldly ways. Titus 2:11-12 says, “ For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in this present age.” And in today’s “present age”, business is conducted in very worldly ways. So we set out to do things a different way, the heavenly way. We know that when you keep God in all that you do, and do things His way, you honor him and will be blessed as you bless others. That sounds like a win-win to us!
Crafting With All Our Hearts
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord. – Colossians 3:23. Each item we sell is made by an actual person crafting individual pieces together that were hand-picked for that exact project. We truly do fit the definition of “hand-crafted”. Our commitment to creating the best begins with the best materials. From the shape and density of the grapevine bases to the color quality of the flower petals. Then after each project is crafted, to receive the stamp of approval we place it in an open area to be seen for a few days to be critiqued and perfected. To finish it off it’s lightly coated with a finishing spray to prevent the colors from fading in the sun and the dust from settling on it indoors helping it last for many years to come.
Serving Others
An attitude of servitude is really the only way to go about anything in life. We aren’t meant to live for just ourselves. Anyone who loves to serve can tell you it feels amazing, like a million little butterfly kisses on your heart. At least that’s what we feel every time we send off a package to another friend. That must be a part of what God’s grace feels like because 1 Peter 4:10 tells us, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
We can proudly say this is pretty easy for us. God has gifted us so graciously with something we love to do! Working with flowers brings us joy every day. And that joy only grows when we see it spread to others. This may technically be a command, but to us, it’s like God commanding a child to go play on a playground with all their friends. Thank you, Heavenly Father!
Proverbs 31
Proverbs 31:10-31 was the beginning inspiration that made us start Made the Heavenly Way. Flowers would just be a fun hobby if God hadn’t lead us to turn it into more with these scriptures.
It tells us that a virtuous woman is far more precious than rubies then goes on to describe a woman who lives up to that standard. It shows her character to be strong, caring, and generous. “Strength and dignity are her clothing… she opens her hand to the poor… the teaching of kindness is on her tongue”.
But it doesn’t stop there. Among the good moral descriptions are examples of how she is a leader, a homemaker, a crafter, and even an entrepreneur, talking about her multiple business ventures. This woman may seem like an unrealistic super lady, but these are actually all characteristics that God has put in each of us. We all have the potential to be this woman.
This was the true inspiration for us to take our craft and turn it into something more. We are doing our best to live up to who our Heavenly Father has called us to be. We pray our wreaths and arrangements will remind you of this woman in us all and inspire you to do the same.
We Would Love To Meet You
It brings us great joy hearing from new friends, and not just for orders and questions. If you have anything you would love to share with us, anything at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Our duty first is to God who has sent us to serve our neighbors and to business second. If there is something specific you need prayers for, let us know. It would be our honor to pray for you!
